Taming animals with Ranger?

I've heard talk on other forums about people taming red named animals. I was only aware that green named animals could be tamed, but I have never attempted anything else. Anyone else see/tame a red named animal?

Pfft, you can only tame a Snow wolf, Lynx, or warthog. ( as of what GW said )

You're forgetting Melandru's Stalker and a type of spider.

No, Melandru's Stalker comes from preseared Regent Valley I believe.

Yes you can...i got myself a bird thing before I got my wolf. Edit: Stalkers are supposed to be rare in-seared ascalon...but there's a quest early on in the game where Nente asks you to go find one (in seared ascalon).

That doesn't prove anything. We know you can tame a Moa Bird, and we know where you get Melandru's Stalkers, but we need to know if you can tame, for example, Black Bears.

Animal list

Heres a list of the animals that I know you can tame, and where to find them:
Pre-searing:
Melandru's Stalker - Regent Valley
Wolf - Wizards Folley
Moa Bird - Green Hills Country / Old ascalon (outisde of ashfords abbey)
Warthog - Just about everywhere
Untamable: Moss Spiders, Rabbits, Black bears, and their arn't any lizards in pre-searing

Melandru's stalker - Old ascalon (on the way to 'the breach')
Lynx - D'iessa lowlands / Lion's Arch
Wolf - Shiverpeaks
Snow wolf - Shiver peaks
Elder wolf -southern shiverpeaks, near draknors forge
Warthog - Kryta
Black bear - shiverpeaks, Kryta, southern shiverpeaks (bring a friend, they have charm break)
Lizard - Crystal desert, mission just befor Draknors forge
Spider - Underworld (its during the quest you get from Temple of Ages, "monuments" quest or something, only one will appear, so warn your party before hand!!!)
