Tal Rasha's tomb...

After I portaled to the magi place I went to a place where the entrance stated "to Tal Rasha's Tomb" but there is no exit going further into the dungeon that I can see. What's going on?

are you in the right tomb? there are 7 of them in total, and only one is the correct.

to figure out which one is the proper tomb, you have to of killed the summoner, and read the tome. it will show you the symbol of the proper tomb. search around the northeast/north/northwest for the proper tomb. there will be little symbols on the sides of the enterance, so find the one that matches your symbol, and thats the proper tomb. go in and you'll eventually find the orifice. put the horadric staff (which i'm assuming you have) into it, and a door will open up into the final level. kill duriel, and then just keep checking your quest log to see where your supposed to go.

Yeah I figured out where to go and I'm at Duriel. How the heck do i beat him though? He's so hard! I'm a lvl 23 necromancer and he just beats the crap out of me!

give us a run down of skills/stats. what kind are you making? do you have a basic idea of where your going?

also, what version are you running? make sure you have the latest version, will make things easier.

My necro is almost totally for summoning. When I enter the chamber I had a 21 merc, 3 skeletons, 3 magic skeletons, and a blood golem.

I have a scythe that does something like 8-20 dmg plus 1-3 fire.
I have 152 defense.


I am using the 1.11 version.

it might be the blood golem thats getting you killed, it shares damage taken with your own hit pool.

use the clay golem instead, your skeletons will only be as useful as long as they are alive, so make sure you have a good set of them. try for cold mages so he slows down and damage comes at a slower rate. if all your skeletons die, try opening a tp and getting some more, then rinse and repeat, he should eventually fall. dont try to run in and help at a close range, duriel will do lots of damage to you and you could die. try using ranged attacks, or magic,and use any curse you have

you might also want to consider playing online if your single player. even if you like to play solo, if you do find you just simplely can't beat a certain boss, you can join a game solely to get help from your peers with that, then go back to playing in a private game.you will however, have to restart your character. thats just a suggestion though, if you enjoy playing single player, go right ahead, lots of people prefer it to online play.

You can't make em all cold but you can keep summoning until you do which might take a while.

wow this is REALLY hard... I did the whole tp thing and I got him frozen but he killed me anyway. Any suggestions and how exactly do I transfer my char into online to beat that specific boss?

sadly, you can't just transfer your character. people use trainers to make hacked characters on single player, and bringing that online just ruins the game for people trying to play legitly.

there are two types on online play. closed and open. open lets you use singleplayer characters, but like i said before, it filled with hacked characters and cheaters and for the most part really really sucks.

closed however, is a clean play to play online with friends, or even just by yourself. the catch is you can't use your singleplayer characters. you have to completely restart.

Hmm well if at all possible I don't want to start a new char and playing online might make me rush through the story. Is there a way to cheat and get out of this single boss?

sadly, no. you'll just have to grind your teeth and die several times. your best bet might be to try and level up some more, but even that will take time, and might be too hard. its all about perserverence now. buy tp scrolls and the second you get in the room, open one up, so that if you die you can get back alot faster, and then just open another one up when you get back in.

Woah....wait a second here. Are you telling me the second I put down a TP and I die and get to Lut Gholein the town portal can ship me back from the town to where Duriel is???

ine one word. yes.

doing this makes the fight go alot faster, but dont be suprised if you run out of tps. you'll probably have to buy extras.

you should also run in there with your army back up to speed. summon a golem and get him to kill some monsters in the sewers or somewhere else so you can get your skelies back up.
