... Most of you other people read this? After I read all of that flaming and frost bitten war going on between old timed friends and administrators... then people trying to warm the ties, and coRtALoS topping it off with one of his wisdom filled posts, I actually did feel something in my heart...
It's crazy how something as simple as a fued on the internet with someone we don't know, and probably never will know, can affect us so much. If we would all just realize, that is a simple matter over simple words over the internet, so easily mended with but a few strokes of the keyboard, is nothing compared to things in your real life that can only be mended with long time and recooperation.
If only... we could all realize that what happened between 'spamming' and 'bashing' eachothers forums.. we're still all just fellow gamers, or nerds, graphics pros, or maybe just an internet surfer kicking back at a seamingly cool hangout, the things these people posted are just words. Just words that can be deleted or edited, or sink back into the archives of a massive forum, to be forgotten, but taken to heart.
I do not think we should take back blizz with open arms, or even completely smash the weak tie that has held the two forums together for years.. but maybe.. leave the door open, for future generations.
As the years go on, we will get new Administrators, we will get more people pulling a crooked, and we will have more neglective Admins who give the server major down time(absolutely no offense chris) But think about, through all of that that has already happened in the first place, we have stayed together as a forum. So why not stay together as allies with Blizz?
As for me though.. somehow.. I have absolutely no idea how.. things that people said in that thread taught me a lesson in life. I will not exactly say it, because I don't completely understand it.. but I hope it can help other people out too.
But I do know... that for some reason I am compelled to pick up my game CDs... put em' all in my old school Aqua Teen Hunger Force backpack.. and put them away in the garage. To delete every favourite on internet explorer, and un-install every game I have put on this, and every other computer I have full access too. To make admin powers on this computer require a password for internet access and installation that my father and sister will onyl know. I feel compelled to go into my room, and for the first time in 3 years, do my homework the day it is assigned, and finish it. And to all of this I will. So I will take this thread as an opporunity for my departure from Battle Forums.
Somehow.. heh.. that thread taught me a lesson, or rather helped me teach myself a lesson, that everything on the computer is just a game.. or someone you don't know or actually care about.. and is just damn temporary, it will go away and almost always leave no lasting affect. So I have other things in life that I haven't tended to in a long, long time.
You evily corrupt moderators( ) can void this if you want, ban me if you want, but like I said, it's temporary, it's a computer.. it's life. Goodbye to all the people that actually give a damn.. and to the ones that don't. I guess I will help Akule finish up this upcoming SC tournament.. then goobye old game shit for me. I guess in a way the internet did help me in life... from the insight of other people. Too bad it has to end.. but that's what the good shit does. It's temporary.
