Taking good videos

I want to start making some videos with FRAPS just to mess around and see what I can do, but I'm not very good at it. Is there any specific way you work the camera, move your char, etc. that will always give good results?

I'm going to try to record BG events for my guild, but I'm new as **** to FRAPS, lol.

Note: Editing video isn't a problem..just capturing is.
