Can a STOP 0x8E error (its a Stop error that tells the user that something was failed to be written.) be caused from an inadaquate PSU?

I am looking at my computer right now and seems to crash alot on wc3 using 1024x768x32 and at 800x600x32, it runs fine. My PSU is 300 Watts but the amps on the 3.3V and 5V connectors are around 25-28Amps

its not the watts that one worries about, its the Amps on the wires that is important. If there isn't enough amps, there will be not enough power entering the circuit causing the crash. MY 12V cord has low amps (15). I own an Ati Radeon 9600 Pro and it requires at least 22 Amps to power with the MSI and all that other stuff.

Could it just be a simple cooling problem?

My old comp would crash with SC during the summer, but not in the winter.
I added a couple fans and piped outside air flow directly to the CPU and it never crashed after that.

UR-ANUS haha
big problem for that stop error is also if you are overclocking the CPU by accident...check and make sure.

Yeah it kind of gets hot here, upstairs. I can hook up the computer in the cold basement, but then some of the parts get damaged if the computer is TOO cold. My current fan speed is 3130 RPM with my 300W PSU backing it up.

Well, take it down, play a few games to see if it crashes.
If it doesn't, take it back upstairs and give it the same test.
If it does you have your problem solved, a main fan and a CPU fan isn't enough after all.
If so, open your case, see where you could add an extra fan and what size, go to Best Buy and buy one.

Now the big question, buy a 12VDC fan, or a 110VAC fan
12V is quieter, but can tax your power supply.
110V you'll have to find a power source.

I don't think i have enough amps to work extra power components. I posted this problem on the MSI forums (because my mainboard is a MSI SIS 648FX NEO), They say the amps (3.3V = 28A, 5V = 30V, 12V = 15A) are WAY too low and that it suffers from lack of power. You can get PSU amp verifications on the sticker on the side of your PSU inside your computer.
