has anyone done this alliance quest? its pissing me off i cant get the last part in searing gourge. i found the place but it wont let me loot the tree

I havn't done any alliance quests for a while but have you tried moving around the tree a bit and trying to loot it from different spots? that would be my one guess if it is infact the right tree.
