Surrounding Heros

I usually move all my units simple by clicking next to the hero then attacking it when all units are surrounded.
I hear you can use the Hotkey M and then click on their hero/unit to surround it! Is it true?

If you do that, you cannot attack him. However, doing so would trigger thier Target Aquistion and cause them to attack. So yeah, it could eventually cause that.

Does the hotkey M actually work for surrounding? Do you guys use this?

If you use Move on a target, that unit will follow him leaving about 300 feet (around range of huntress) in space. If you have enough units and he is isolated.... yes you can surround him.

for surrounding a hero, i find its best to have at least 6 units... spilt em up

3 on the left, 3 on the right, and about the time they are all in line, tell them all to attack the hero

Or you can inflict a paralyzing buff, surrond him and then attack. He cannot escape unless he has powerful units to break the hold.

Surround is beatiul use m yes and don't do it on hero's only do it on thoes weak units surrounding a running fiend is guso.

Also, don't surrond if the enemy can easily break up the units. Many noobs still try to do this.... some end up losing every unit they have.

Surround can backfire on units like MK or TC with their area of effect spells... Any stop type of spells and ensnare works GREAT for surrounding. For example, sleep, hex, entangle and storm bolt all work great. The "m" button does work great, but I have my keys mapped to the qwer/asdf/zxcv keys, which is also effective.

I usually Thunder Clap/War Stomp/Storm Bolt [Anything that stuns really] them, and then quickly surround with my other units.

The best way to do it is to get 6 Gargoyles and release Stone Form above the hero.

Of course, not to be done when you are losing.*

If you surround the hero, the hero will also take the damage.

The reason I like that tactic is because the hero is literally helpless. The only thing worse than being stunned and helpless is not being stunned and yet helpless.

Or maybe it's just sadistic me. *

Its easier to buff it, then surrond. You can make him either waste a tp or kill him. However, he could also break free!
