Suggest who you think should be the next character; describe their attributes, give a name (e.g. samurai), et cetera.

Personally I want a crusader-type character again.

Not sure if there is already something like it, but how about a class that relies upon very high movement speed and short, fast attacks from a medium distance. You could like, keep avoiding enemies, and hit them with a spear or something.

I don't really like those slow types who can do a ton of damage without a bit of micro. :/

That sounds like the Monk, but they don't make it paramount.

I think I said it when the game came out, but I would love to see a Dragoon style character.

Sort of a mid range/melee character. I know it won't happen because a lot of people are stupid about the game, but dragoons were traditionally introduce in the 1600s as a fast infantry whose primary role was infantry, usually with a sabre, hatchet and a matchstick musket. There are way so many application for a hybrid melee/short-ranged character.

What games have Dragoon characters been in?

years ago I came up with a highly detailed list for a D3 fansite of "could be" items in D3 including heros, skills, enemies, bosses etc etc

my favorite character I came up with was the Corrupted Paladin. the storyline would have explained how the paladin became corrupted at the end of D2 (like the wanderer in d2) but due to his holy status was able to fight off from becoming diablo himself, but in turn was shifted into something almost non-human ("evil" human if you will) with dark auras and spell styles

That's far too original and unique to be considered for diablo III.

i guess so =/

i had come up with all kinds of things for the then unknown D3 universe

some of my favorite ideas was hero elemental skills (fireballs, freezing auras, etc) would effect the landscape, burning it/freezing it/making "nature" grow/black void absorbing areas/etc and it would play to synergy stat bonuses of the heros themselves over time

Well, if they did implement gunpowder and rifles in Diablo 3, I had had a few thoughts about a Ranger-style character, who's emphasis was on stealth and his primary weapon was a rifle, think like a sniper.

He'd have varieties of coercive spells which could be used to subvert his enemies temporarily or permanently, have passive attack bonus upgrades for using long-ranged weapons (bows as well as rifles). They can use certain melee weapons dual-wield, but only certain types of weapons.

The very gameplay itself would be different, as the environment on-screen would have seperate advantages on the map that would "pop up" for Rangers only (reflecting their training in Westmarch). Examples would be places to ambush demons and such, or places that (via vegetation or something) would be like the D3 red-floating-bally system of healing. One could transfer the D2 Barbarian's "Find Potions" and "Find Items" skills easily too, as they are very, very observant.
