Looks like I'm going to have to put a fourth fan in my case...

Every once in a while my hard drives will start clicking and my computer freezes. The first time I had this problem I noticed how dirty my fans were and were surprised that my computer didn't completely bend over and screw itself. Well, after I got all of that cleared up, my computer was fine for a while, then it started again today. I cleaned them again but I knew that wasn't the problem, so I rewired my computer and took out my neon (A hotter cheaper style of cathode). Well, I'm doing fine so far...but my computer is ugly now :( I need a new case anyway, the circulation for this one sucks.

What?

I'm planning on getting a larger case then what I have now plus a new server case as well. And if you are asking how many spots there are on my case to mount fans, I would have to say unlimited ;) As many as I can drill.

I was going to help you choose a new case ,and expansion slots are the little "punch out" looking things on them back of the pc(where the PCI/AGP/ and soon PCI Express cards sit).

Watercooling is a waste of time and money if you are not planning on OC'ing...

if you are using a small case (like a shuttle case), take off the top while doing stuff. it works. I went to a LAN party where a lot of people have small cases, and most of the people took off the top of the case while playing games.

I have a standard sized ATX case, it just doesn't have very good air flow due to the amount of NONROUNDED IDE cables I use to the large amounts of drives I use =\

just buy round cables. They are cheap. I bought 2 sets on ebay for $1.00 and they are uv reactive so it goes good with my lights. Also I would suggest upgrading the fan and heatsink on your cpu/gfx card. It will prolly run you $10-30 (Once again Ebay). If you ever have any sever heating problems a quick solution is have a can of air(Duster) hold it upside down and spray it on your processor. This will cause it to cool down instantly. If you can give me the specs of your comp I can prolly help you with better cooling solutions at a low price.
