Stupid Halo 2 Rankings!

I couldnt be more mad! I HAD the rank of 12 in team slayer. After I played a game of team slayer I had gotten 16 kills and 2 deaths. when I got back to the pregame lobby it went back down to f*cking level 11! I think I should have been closer to 13! I dont see any possible way I could have went down because your rank is determined by your kill:death ratio divided by amount of players and thier ranks. they were all same or higher.

if it was a team slayer, if your team loses you lose, no matter what your personal rank was. play a free for all if you dont like the team aspect. im pretty sure kill ratio doesnt matter in team games. what matters is first place/second place. your team gets first, theirs gets second, or the other way around... because when your team wins it says everyone on your team got 1st place. and when it loses everyone on your team got 2nd place.

im just throwing out suggestions.. i read the halo2 ranking rules and how they go about it, but honestly i forget. i think its determined by what place in the game you came in at the end. unless you quit. then your automatically lowest rank.

On the bungie website and the official Halo 2 guide it talks about how experience is calculated. Even with team battles you each get individual exp points. And about the part where you say if your team gets first place everyone gets 1st place, does that mean if I get 0 kills, and everyone else gets kills in the double digits I still get exp added to my rank?

if you get killed a by a lower level person, dont you lose a LOT of experience?

in the Halo2 guide book, in the back it explains all about experience points- how much you will gai by beating a certain level opponent to losing them

JustAnotherNerd, this is such an old post... Back in the day when I was a n00b at Halo 2. I dont really play any team slayer anymore, I play more of skirmish and double team.

When i first started I lost like 5 games in a row with no wins and ended up being a rank 3 at the end of it all.
