Pretty much something weird happened recently. There have been no problems with my video card until I installed the newest Sims 2 expansion, and after doing so, something strange happens. The game usually starts out just fine, then after a while it just craps out. The game freezes, and it ceases to play. If I try to start it up, it just gives an error saying I might not have the newest directx version (I have the correct version) and I should contact the manufacturer of my video card. Restarting the computer allows me to start up the game again.
I can try to get the error again to get the exact context, but this has never happened before. I was able to play the sims just fine until I installed the new expansion. I have no idea what is wrong with my video card; it should be able to run the game just fine. If you want more specs, I can include more pictures.
