This is a very strange glitch that I have never seen before. I recently questioned Bolt Head about it, but even he wasn't too sure what was causing it. I have tried various things to fix it, but I can't seem to figure out whats wrong with it :( . Maybe someone on here can help.

Download the attachment that I have posted with this thread, and open it.

You may notice notice this immediately, but look closely at the main editor window. The tiles that surround the enclosed area, which look somewhat like crystals, are all there. None of them are misplaced.

Now, take a look at the minimap in the upper left. Notice anything strange? Some of the tiles, notably the ones on the left side of each enclosed box, appear to be missing. Im talking about the blue tiles that look like crystals. What should look like a box looks more like a sideways "U".

Isn't this strange? The tiles appear in the main editor window, but in the mini map thing, some of them are missing. What teH fuxXor? This also applies in the actual game in SC. And, to be blunt, I dont like it.

If anyone knows why the hell some of the tiles aren't appearing in the Mini map, I'd be very thankful if you could help me out. Thanks again.

Their not crystals, nor a glitch. There is no reason for them to be unplacable. Those 'crystals' is probobly a cliff going into water transition. lts not a glitch, and Starforge can fix the problem. By using the pallate in the terrain layer, you can remove or add something else which will fit what you want. Xtra sometimes mixes up isom with square. lm not sure if you even asked Bolt head in the first place. lf you ever played a bound with an image on the mini-map, you should already have learned some terrains dont show up at certian angles.

What do you mean some of the terrains don't show up at certain angles?

The tiles them self can only have on rotation unless your refering to where there located on the map. (did you even look at the map?) I know some tiles apear a differant color on the minimap than you might think by looking at the tile itself. But what got me (if i remember this correctly) is the discoloration was a combination of differant tiles some in witch displayed correctly and some didn't. I assumed it was corrupted some in some way and told him to submit the map to heimdal and see what he said.

The map is 256x256, while the minimap is 128x128 pixels. The minimap will place 1 pixel for every 2x2 square tile of the nearest color (or something like that...), so some parts of the crystal may not appear. This is no bug or glitch, it's just ugly-looking. -.-;
