Steam Problemos!

i keep getting these messages and it is keeping me from joinin/creating games!!! plz help, I hhave tried reinstallingbut I get an I/0 error that says its corrupted and i even re dled it and that didnt work. Heres the pics

Open your steamapps\user@email\counter-strike\cstrike\maps folder and delete de_dust.bsp. It's an earlier version of the map.

but it always worked before, it just started screwing up yesterday

Yeah, just delete it. Next time you try to join a game, it will redownload the newer version of the map and should work again. And Spirit-Reaper, red look really gay in the cs forums <_<

Steam stores all the official CS 1.6 maps in the counter-strike.gcf file. Because they're all in this cache file, they don't even exist in the maps folder. If you have any ofifcial maps in your maps folder, they're from an earlier version of CS. They're obsolete and they'll prevent you from playing on the maps in-game.

well that didnt work. I tried a system restore to a few days ago, but that just ****ed everything up :/ im gonna reformat tomorrow cuz im having other PC problems. Thanks neways
