Sorry. I may sound like a total and complete newb but i cant figure starforge triggers out. So what I need is a tutorial. Ya newbie. Please i really need it. If your asking why I'll tell you. I made a bunch of cool sprites and things with starforge and Scmdraft 2, but if i switch to Starcraft X-tra Editor, they are gone and i have to make em all over again. So thanks alot. Somone PLEASE give me a tutorial. Thanks.:butterfly :lucifer

Best thing to do is use StarForge for terrain editing, X-Tra Editor for trigger editing, and StarForge again, or X-Tra for unit editing. The StarForge triggers don't always work, and are somewhat advanced.
yeah i agree with cortalos...thats usually wat i do....and my maps are still good...the starforge tiggers are wierd, and you have to type them while in x-tra you just click for some of them...

Heh, that would be good, but I think it has hit it's peak. It's a good editor, nevertheless.

I still think there are a few bugs that need to be fixed though. It always seems kinda slow for some reason. But i want at least 1 more version.

You see, Starforge was distributed free. If it would be charged lets say $4.99usd. The creator would actually continue until it's bug free.
Don't use a tutorial to use an editor. It's all about trial and error and experiencing. Just play around and see what happens.... And I'm pretty sure that most of the expert map makers took this route, too.

You must be stupid or something master virus. No offense or anything, but its not like i dont know how to do triggers. Just not on starforge. Its a lot more complicated process from X-tra editor. I used to know how to but i dont anymore. Read all of the thread before you respond. Please. And ya bolthead was really right. It would be illegal and he would be sued to the streets.

Ya somone already said that and the only reason why i didnt do that is because i made sprites in starforge and when you go onto X-tra editor, the sprites are removed.

Yeah that would work but its easyer just to open a map with triggers already made in Starforge. I don't know of starforge accepts the TRG file format.

Triggers in starforge are really simple, I don't know why anyone would need a tutorial for them.

i konw you guys are just making it more complicated becasue you dont want to type and stuff....

still wat bolt head said about making terrain in starforge then triggers in xtra...then adding more units on eitherone is a sure way of making a good map....

and yes the triggers from xtra do work on the starforge...and via versa....(somthing like that)

No, I just don't take everything serious like you.
It's called joking and stop treating me like I'm a Forum Newb. You have no idea what I've done for BF.

I mean seriously... I find no use for the sprites. They're just enhancements for your map. Gives it the "OMG, My map has soo many cool looking things"

Sprites are a very powerfull and very overused addition to mapmaking. Hardly anyone that uses sprites uses them to there potential. If you add a sprite so people look at it and think "wow whats that i wish i could do that" then your missusing them.
