Or you could try reading the StarForge troubleshooting thread on my forums. Your problem is even listed in the problem/solution set, along with a nice picture of how to fix it.

comct232.ocx is no longer needed as of v1.0.2.

Are you talking about the file:
comct232.zip
I'm having the SAME TROUBLE. I don't find it very safe puting a file that sounds a little fishy in a folder that is VERY IMPORTANT for the computer...

Since Heimdal is the creator, he would be able to help the most. (But seeing as he has already posted, then nevermind.) Oh yeah, and thanks for asking me, too.:(

I wasn't aware that I had left....

I only post in threads that have meaningful topics (which there are sadly very few).

Why would you be worried about putting something in your system folder? If someone wrote a malicious program, it could damage your computer from ANY folder. By that logic, you should never install any new software.

Some future version of StarForge will have a real installer so that people won't have these problems *cough*don'tfollowdirections*cough* but for now I want to keep the download size down (so that people don't have to download the same components over and over again).

By the way, what do you mean by "sketchyness" of StarForge?
