November 18, 2004 - Mystery-Map Invitational Rosters Announced

We're proud to announce the competitors for the Mystery-Map Invitational. With many talented players on both sides of the Atlantic, choosing who to invite was a daunting task. There were many other players who would also have made excellent additions to each of the teams. Please note the one player listed as "tentative" has been invited but is still confirming his availability for the December 11th match. Team Asia will be announced sometime in January.

StarCraft: Broodwar Mystery-Map Invitational Announced
We are pleased to announce the StarCraft Mystery-Map Invitational! On December 11, 2004, two teams of top players, one from the Americas and one from Europe, will be competing in the first of two such events. In January, the winning team will face a team of top players from Asia. Three entirely new maps will be created for the competition. These maps will be released in early December, leaving players only a short amount of time to adapt their strategies to unfamiliar battlegrounds. Read more at the Mystery-Map Invitational webpage.

Basically teams play against each other on new maps on the winners get a package of StarCraft gear.
