Starcraft 1 crashing?

I am at the end of mission 1 and when i try to go to mission 2 the screen gos black and then it tells me the memory could not be read...anyone know how to fix this?

Your computer may not be able to handle the game?
That or you are running a lot of background programs and your computer may not be able to handle the game.
Or one interesting tid-bit I've seen first hand, is even if your RAM is good but your computer is damn near full, this can also effect the game for some weird reason.
