Because after his first 5 appearances (because he popped up every second issue after being introduced) he became a pussy, got his own comic and became that ****ing gay anti-hero bullshit.

Harry dies saving Spiderman from Sandman/Venom in the same fashion his dad died.
Brock dies (Symbiate seperates from him, Parker throws a pumpkin bomb at it, Brock jumps into it).
Sandman doesn't die.
The inclusion of Topher Grace is going to **** the series up (he was the running man for Tobey and filled in a few shots of SM2 after [tobey] was hurt during shooting of Seabiscut. Those shots were later replaces) and now they're going to have to use a new Peter Parker, as Tobey said this is his last movie.

What else you wanna know? Why was Gwen Stacey in it? To feed even more into the Venom character.

Though I hated the way he looked.
