Spending hero experience points

Hi all. The question is how to spend a hero experience points most effectively. Spend them on just 2 skills (till level 6) or on all three? This surely depends on a hero and whether the hero is first or second, but still what do u think.
This issue also is related to a problem: when it is best to have a second hero (since an experience points are divided to all heroes). For me personally a lvl 1 hero next to lvl 5 is more a hindrance than a help in a battle (takes too much micro effort).
So theres a topic number two: what is better one lvl 6 hero or two lvl 4 and lvl 2. ;)

Typically, Ill use one damage spell and an aura, if they have one. I'll usually go damage-aura-damage-aura-damage-ultimate-aura,
but accuonally (with second hero, DL, or with PoTM), I'll go damage-aure-aure-damage-aure. Sometimes, Instead of the aura, I'' use another helpfull spell (Like farsight), rather than go for 2 damage spells.

As for topic 2, I prefer the 1 level 6, but usually I'll be able to get my primary to level 6 and secondary to level 4 or 5.

I usually only use one hero, the micro is just unreal for two. But I like complicated heros, like KOTG, entangling roots is an awesome spell, treants are great, and so is thorns aura. But That's a micro on it's own, if you see your enemy is hitting and running you lock their hero down with an entangling roots.

If it's a mass battle, then I like treants. I've found they can turn the tide sometimes, and provides a back entrance to bases on occasion.

The only thing I don't really like about KOTG is his Ultimate, if it where starfall then he's be awesome.



....I don't play any other races and I primarily only use KOTG, there's my take. My experience and leveling is based on what the opponent is doing. Usually I go Treants first in case of rush. Then the rest is based on like I said the opponent.

These are the heroes I think you should consider getting all 3 skills before level 6 are the Blademaster, IE. in level 4 get 2 crit strikes, 1 WW, and 1 MI. The mountain King, 2 Thunder claps, 1 bash, 1 storm bolt. The dread lord, 2 sleep, 1 Vamp, 1 Swarm, or 2 Vamp, 1 swarm, and 1 sleep. The lich, 1 Dark Ritual, 2 Frost Nova, and 1 Frost Armor. The DeathKnight, 1 death pact, 2 DC, 1 Unholy aura. That's all :)

But in this case your single hero would be lvl 10 or am I mistaken? The point is not how fast u level up but when u get your second hero: as soon as u can or when first is lvl 4 or by second night or .... never :)

Don't u think one's style becomes somehow stale when using one and the same hero. It's like playing on only one map as some people used to do in sc.
My hero(s) choice depend highly on the map as I rely on very early creeping much. So say in Moonglade where entangling roots are just dispelled KOTG is not as useful as other hero would be. Also in Plunder where is essential to creep those two lvl10 dragons in first night POTM is my choice.

Right, but if you have the POTM, what good are your upgrades? the only usefull one is trueshot aura, Searing arrows and whatever the owl is, is rather useless if you ask me. Searing arrows uses up your mana that you could use for a starfall. Scouting I think is really only usefull at the begining of the game. After that it's pretty much counter what you saw, or be killed.

To Rage: U are right about POTM abilities, but as I said in Plunder she is my first choice (and nearly always only), because it's so easy to level her up till lvl 5 at first night, then attack, get starfall and go. Besides trueashot works on all units I usually manage to get by then: archers, hunts dryads.
Still u didn't answer my question about using the same hero and style getting stale ;.

Depends... choose a nice, damaging spell or summoning spell at the start, then choose another one or an aura. Don't spend it on stuff like viewing the map or anything...

No, you wouldn't have a level 10 single hero by then. And I'm not saying I don't attack my enemies before that point, I just don't go at their main base until I have a hero with an ultimate. Back to the hero level, you could have a single level 7 or 8 by the time you got a level 6 and a level 4 or 5, since the exp needed to go up a level gets huge after level 6.

True I forgot about increasing experience points required for higher levels.

(sorry for layout too lazy...)

U say u don't attack main base until u have a hero with an ultimate and so on, but... when u have it do u attack main base? not an expansion? This is off topic of course, but still.
