Spell Editing

Alright...i'm new here...so don't hammer me too hard if i'm wrong but (like many others) how do u edit a spell and put it in a map.....i found some tutorilas but none of em don't work... can anyone help....?

okay...

Firstly I apologize for da inconvinience of putting dis thread in the wrong section....

Secondly.....I want to edit da spell "feral Spirit"...and put it in my map.......i have edited da unitsorcabilityfunc.txt and unitsorcabilitystrings.txt(i juz changed the icon for it and it's description so it would suit my map) but how..do u put it in a MAP?

yep a hero needs to cast it....there is no big difference in da spell(all i am doing is juz replacing some of da words in da spell definitions)
Example---I want it to say "summon Black Hawks" instead of saying "summon Wolves"

but what i want to know is how do u put it in a map?????

u need MPQ implanter all you do is get the program and then open the map with it... then jsut add teh file in it by dragging or clicking add.........

Tech MPQ will work

Use tech MPQ or umm MPQ archiver if u see soemthing like that........ to extract stuff..... open war3.mpq with it and it shows most of the files used in the game.... such as unit models and stuff...

okay..thnx i think i got my file adding problem worked out But then how do i add the abilitydaata.slk to a map.............
For example in my map i want the sleep(neutral hostile)spell cost 5 mana(not 125 mana)...i have properly edited da file but it ddoesn't seem to work in da game(it still costs 125 mana)???
