Anyone remember it? My father had one, and I've played it since I was a very little boy. I loved it :p

This is the loading screen, it had those strange stripes, had a total chaos of sounds, and took a lot of time to load anything.

And the game I remember the most is Rick Dangerous:

I've never played it myself, but I know of a few sites which offer emulators for it. What operating system do you run (Windows 95, 98, or whatever)? Maybe I can find you an emulator and rom for it so you could play it on your computer, assuming you don't still have a working model of the original system.

Oh, don't worry about emulators ;)

Spectrum is very, very old. It's older than me.

I think the lack of colors actually gives it an interesting look. It's definitely far from bland. I've never actually seen one, but if I ever do find one that works, I just might buy it :D

You guys know the sound of dial-up modems dialing up?

Sum it to the nails of Helga the German Fraülein in the blackboard, and you'll know the noise it made at loading :p
