Sony is still solving legal issues regarding their previous game system, Sony Playstation 1.

A court decision determined that the electronics company has to pay $91 million in damages to Immersion Corporation, the company which brought the lawsuit. This company, specialized in digital technology, claims that the Japanese company infringed on their patent when they developed the Playstation and Playstation 2 Dual Shock Controllers.

This technology provides extreme gaming as it allows the controller to move according to the action that goes on in the game. Sony refused all charges and announced that will appeal the case.

First off, if sony goes under, most developers will most likely go to nintendo, Microsoft not getting as much japanese support. That means not only will FFIII and FF CC be on DS, likely any other FF game.

And Microsft was hit with the same lawsuit as sony, but Microsoft settled quickly, to avoid the problesm sony is going through.

BTW Miss, the titles was meant to be do you think sony will have to stop? It looks like they might if the appeal is rejected.

Nintendo has been around for 20 years, and has 4 of the biggest franchises in video game histroy. Sony doesnt even make shit, they get third party developers. Hell Nintendo makes thier own damn games, which is why they pwn Sony any day.

FF has had its moments... but I hate the people that think VII is the end-all be-all that there is to FF... they need to go back and play I-VI, and Tactics... IX is great too.

I've never played VII but I bought it around the first month it came out, it's still in the factory wrap. I've heard FFXII will be using the same races and world as FF tactics advance but I'm only 70% sure.

All I have to say is this is the perfect chance for Sega to return to making consoles.

What Sega needs to do is start building a new system right now to compete with the new X-Box coming out, it would be perfect. If Sega actually tried, they would smash the shit outta them.

And that just means the return of Phantasy Star and Shining Force games, w00t!!!

BTW: Sega does plan on bringing out another console in the next two years. Ownage.
