Well, we all have noticed by now that, since the wonder that is 1.11 which we have all come to know and love came out, there has been a desertion by the old elite players of D2, and everything has become infested with new players who bought their characters online and jumped into the fray, sporting their uber chars, thinking it gives them license to call everyone else in the game a noob. Is it just me? I can't find a decent baalrun anymore. There are, like, pre-run games they people make, everyone parties up, then everyone just leaves the game. The rare ruins that actually kill the minions contain mostly people who don't have a clue how to play the game save for the good old "tele on top of enemies and spam hammers" technique, and because they bought a charachter that someone else spent months making into an "uber" character, they think they are the hottest shit in the market. I've seen the word "n00b" more in the last month than I ever did during the entire 1.10 ladder. No wonder all the old skool players are gone, I don't blame a single one of them. Now, the question I pose is this: Is there anything in the darkest regions of anyone's imagination that we, and indeed ALL decent D2 players, could do to in some small way begin to change some of this? I mean, back in the good old 1.10 baaling days, everyone helped the runner/tele-er in any way possible, and tried to help people who's characters died in SC. Now, the second the runner dies, the game is exited by everyone, and the runner, who is likely a high level once you get into hell, is out by x amount of XP, all for trying to help everyone else level. I could go on forever, but I'll stop now. If anyone has any ideas, I am all ears.
