Something I would like to share...

I recently got a letter in the mail from a company called Blizzard (you might have heard of them ). The letter was sub-signed by someone at Vivendi Uninversal. The letter was about two pages long and said the following:

Dear Mr. Gardiner
AKA Ultimate Empire; Silent Thunder; AMD_Vader

We are aware of your past and current attempts at disrupting our online Diablo II community, and would like to inform you personally that hacking IS a crime. We at Blizzard, Battle.Net, Vivendi Universal and all related subsidiaries request an immediate halt to all such activities...

etc.

They pretty much went on to state that I should stop before the decide to take 'more harsh' action against me.

Now...since I haven't played Diablo II in several months, I am wondering if any other former BFHS members or XHS or moderators have received such a letter.

Im also wondering how long their god damned 'to-do' list is considering I havent really done jack all in the last 3 months.

lol. I guess this means they won't be picking me for the World of Warcraft Beta

Anyway, contact me if anyone gets a similar letter.

no, havent got 1, prolly run a background check on all the ppl that submit to that, like searching forum emails, ect ect, didnt get 1. Well, we do kno this, blizzard does read these forums, and im not atall sorry 4 it, infact, the reason that dupe wont work is prolly blizz patched it

anyways, did u get that just for messing with in game packets, or did you actually try to break into their servers, or what?

Reasons for them to hate me:

-Remade TradeHack to TradeHack3 (anyone could have done this, I even think PyroKid made a better one where you place the item where the image will go)
-Made RBXP (another simple rollback module)
-Made BulletTime, a good module with good error checking, pretty nice though
-Stolen Accounts/keys; keyloggers, trojans, etc. probably over 300 accounts stolen and about 30 cdkeys
-yes, multiple in game packets sent, who hasnt really(ever have a laggy game and click on something repeatedly, then get flagged? lol)


This is almost as cool as microsoft telling me to stop sharing the source for windows 2000 lol

Well I wouldn't worry about them sueing you or something... emagine, they'll spend thousands of dollars on lawers... to make you pay them a million bucks which you don't have... so all they're gonna get out of this is negative X amound of dollars and you ripped + dirty underwear as its the only thing you'll be able to give them... unless you're one of those rich people...
They're just trying to scare you (at least i think so) because they know they won't be able to get a darn thing out of you

It's nothing, since they read the forums they probably got scared of your avatar (th4.cpp) and sent that to you to scare you into not making one. Stupid Blizzard.
