Some very serious questions

Hi,

I was walking my paperround this afternoon adn quess what. I've got a brand new idee about a dupe. But first I would like to know a couple of thing b4 you guys get al horny

[Question 1]
How can I access bnet without actualy starting up Diablo II?

I've read something about "START" --> "RUN" and then TelNet, so in a DOS kinda way? Or ftp program wich would be GREAT ^^

[Question 2]
are the chars on bnet saved the same way as on single/open? I mean in *.d2s??

you can connect using proxies and just about any other method of connecting if you know the protocol. of course there are some limiting factors. as far as question 2 goes... not sure... there is probably some form of encryption, but the format is probably the same. only way to know would be to go in there and look. if you are planning on hacking into the servers ... you could do a lot more than "dupe". ALOT more.

I think you can only use numbers and letters @ bnet. Also the passwords are not case censitive

im not sure... you can use just about any character. i tested some alt codes and ctrl characters... but the average passwords are letters and numbers and about 8 characters max. you know about connecting to d2 through proxies ?

If you plan to do something don't get caught. Wasn't there some lawsuit thing before the patch or few days after it when someone tried to hack in to the servers or something? Or he was just trying some passwords to one of the server logins I posted.

hey grey, i gotta say, good luck man. if your tryin to hack into the servers then may god be with you.

ive only heard of one other person that did this, he took months to do it from waht i remember, and what he accomplished: he made a lvl 1 barb with 1 xtra mana point . thats right, all that work and that was it,

but in terms of hacking htat was a -lot- to accomplish.

but like i said, good luck, maybe youll find the keys to the doors he missed.

when u connect like that to battle.net your just connecting as a chat client where you cannot create games or anything u need to connect through hashes. that is how some bots connect to battle.net they use the cdkey and spoof themselves as a real battle.net client. if anyone had the private version of TALONS 1.09 spambot it allowed it to create games without the d2 client..

everyone is aware of that, he wanted a telnet conenction for a reason.

if anyone had the private version of TALONS 1.09 spambot it allowed it to create games without the d2 client..
