I play on dialup. Can WoW run on this? If it can, does it run well enough to play competitively?

The price is pretty expensive I hear. What is the exact amount? I also have heard there are price saving deals. Can you suggest any? What is the best one?

Is it balanced. In diablo there was archer imabalance for years. Is there a best race/character for this game?

Do all the characters look really similar? When you create it can you make it look pretty unique?

Finally, is it worth the price?

Thanks for answering. Maybe you'll see my on WoW servers soon :)

Everything is well balanced. Certain classes are good for certain things. Some classes are better at PVP than others though...

As for races they are pretty much balanced. Druids imo have to be one of the worst classes unless played right. They are gimped in PVP. I never heard about any of them actually dominating... I have a druid.. Not that great. I never liked them in WCIII too >_> Oh well my opinion.

As for prices... I think its about the same price as EQ2 and any other major MMORPG.

Lastly. Totally worth it. Highest rated MMORPG on the market right now.

Dial-up won't be able to play without pretty new video and sound cards. I basically froze up in big cities when i was dial-up. Then again my video card is about a thousand years old.

I have DSL and I freeze up everytime I go to certain towns. Its a graphics card problem/proccessor problem for me.

I use Dial-up and I havn't had any big problems. Sometimes when I go into a more populated area it glitches a little at first but then smoothes out but doesn't bother me.

Hmmm, I'll make sure to tell my little brother that. He's seriously thinking about it (and unlike me he's go the money now).

You should know whats in your computer by now considering you've had it since 2001. I'm on HSI and I have 1GB DDR 2700 RAM, P4 2.66GHz (800 FSB), and a 128mb Geforce4 Ti 4200. The Orgrimmar lag dissapeared after I upgraded my 256mb of ram to 1GB. The only reason I haven't upgraded my video card yet is that I can live with it (for now), and it allows me to have a dual monitor config with only 1 card. Now I rarely experience lag.
