I think that Blizzard should inform players about the socket quest with more detail. Emphasis on Detail. I was in a Hell game, and I finally got to lvl 85, which means i get to equip my Azurewrath Phaseblade. I equipped it, and went over to Lazurus, and there was another guy repairing his gear there or something. Anyways, I decided to use the socket quest on my Azurewrath so I can put some kind of rune in there after. I put my sword on the little anvil screen, and pressed the checkmark. I then looked in my inventory, and my Azurewrath was gone. I was freaking out, and I came to 2 conclusions. A) Battlenet deleted my sword, or B) it's on the stupid ground (even though I didn't hear a clank sound)
I check the ground, and there it was. I quickly picked up my sword while my inv screen was opened, and equipped it. Then I told the guy beside me what happened, and he told me I was REAL lucky. That gave me the impression he would have taken it if he knew. I'm so pissed off that happened at all. Anyone could have stolen that sword, and I'm really poor, which means I'll never be able to afford another Azurewrath. Blizzard should put in BOLD LETTERS that if your inventory is full, and you're socketing an item you're wearing, they'll throw it on the ground where all the newbs will be circling around, instead of equipping it back on u. Whoever thought up of putting your socketed item on the ground was a real retard.
