im not sure if this is true but is there a certain place that drops lot of socked items? if there is can somone tell me ?

pit drops alot of soc items and the waves b4 baal drops a few soc items

Yeah, Waves before Baal have always given me some nifty socketed items. Same with Moo Moo Farm.

pit has alot of elite armors that drop, ive found a couple nice sup elites, you can always just socket them later anyways

i dont know if this is possible but is it possible to turn a socketed item in to an eth socketed item?

well they can drop eth cryptic axes which have a max of 5 sockets.

how many cow runs do you think it'll take to find one?
i;ve already done like 3 cows and only found 5 socketed polearm. too bad its not eth
btw are they actually worth over 1 ist?

As for the initial question: patience is the key here. Just keep trying and you'll eventually find one. Give up early and you might have to acquire one in a more costly manner.

ok, if you find an armor/weapon, that you would want to use, only:

It doesnt have any sockets!

what you have to do is do the a5 quest for the sockets here is the scale:
uniques/set: 1 soc
Rares: 1-2 soc
Magic: 2-3 soc
Normal, superior, eth (just needs white letters):3-Max

the range on the sockets depends on the ILvl of the item just incase you didn't know.
