So many turrets they wont fire

i know this happens in maps, but in my map there really arent too many turrets, and they wont fire at the last levels. even the spore colonies and photon cannons wont fire. is there anyway to fix this? any way at all?

Well, the problem may be that there are too many units in the map, so Turrets, Cannons and Spore Colonies can't fire because they produce a momentary unit, like a Scarab or Interceptor. If this is not the occurence, the computer may have been turned to Neutral on the last level so you had to attack manually, making it harder to defeat the map. If none of these occurences are true, then the game is most likely screwed up.:)

i vote screwed up!!!

j/p, ok here's the answer in the best way i can say:

1. When a unit fires another unit, (turrets firing missles, cannons firing electric balls :p, interceptors leaving carriers, etc) the game recognizes that as a unit, and counts it towards the 1600 unit max, when there are over or almost 1600 units, it won't warn you with the flashy white message (UNIT LIMIT REACHED) instead, it'll just sit there, and hope that you'll lose some guys soon and it'll get fixed.

In other words, check how many units are being made, and how many turrets are firing, it may be exceeding the limit by a lot.

i didnt think stacking mattered, its just the same thing as spreading them out, its the amount of ones you got firiring.

Anyway this happens on the least few levels on my map, especially the last level, which sucks. The last few levels every one has a ton of turrets, and you can buy spore colonies and photon cannons too, and there are 90 units being made at the start. And then the last level has 90 units being made, and then 5 seconds into the level you hear a "Finish Him" Sound and 90 more units are made, and i guess the game cant handle it. I think if i made less turrets, but more powerful turrets it would work. Got to think it over to make sure it is balanced still.

Well....you know EVOLVE maps and Scouts/Carries/Bc's? This is exactly what is going on. What you need to do instead is- make turrets stronger so you don't need as many, or, make the enemies less in numbers and weaker. That way you won't need 30000 turrets to kill 200 scourges.

another thing that it can be is taht if ur the enemy is going at the turret fast and right over it the turret can get stuck and not attack so the turrets would have to be in the sides of the path not on the paths of the enemys

...ok i dont think that made sence but if u do get it good...its cause i dont now how to explain it but it does work casue in turrtet defences games i always build away from paths and the turrets always shoot

i dont think it matters if the enemies are right above the turrets or if you build to the side of the enemies, like you do. i think im going to make turrets stronger and more expensive.

make it so you can sell ur turrets somehow.. have a big location following a seller and get ur money back for lots of turrets so you can get better ones. that's my idea.

all that counts is the unit count, by the way. very annoying when you have dragoons in later areas of evolves
