How did you like it?

Looking forward to the expansion coming out? Which new character class is your favourite? Hate? Love it?

I, personally, was impressed with the number of new character designs implemented..the faces, hairstyles and especially armours are quite yummy.

The environments are awesome-looking, especially the jade water (didn't really pay attention to the story deal with that) but it looks stunning. I like new animals...reef crawlers and tigers ^_^

The quests were okay, nothing -too- new I guess, but the Gyala hatchery mission was a blast. So was PvP.

I can't wait until it gets here. :0

Discuss.

GW was fun for about two weeks. Then it started to suck. I don't see how an expansion will change any of that.

The expansion was amazing. I'm a BM in Prophecies, and Factions caters to my build much more thoroughly than the original. I have the collector's edition preordered already, and I can't wait.

Well, maybe not for you. :) For me, it sparked my interest again by bringing something something fresh and new to the game.

But that's my opinion.

Anyone who got bored with GW after two weeks would be the same person on Diablo 2 for over a year after its release, on the same character, whispering "Only another 74,130,567,829 experience until level 86!" to themselves in the darkness of their empty room. I've hated MMO games since as long as I can remember, for various reasons, and GW addressed every one of those reasons perfectly.

Then again, GW can't be all bad, if people who apparently don't even enjoy it browse its forum, and in a thread asking what people thought about the Factions event, they reply even though they didn't play it.

Why, because MMO's actually take skill? I replied because a new expansion isn't going to get anyone that quit the game to come back.

No one said it would, or that they even cared if it 'brought back' anyone, since it's already obvious people who don't play the original aren't going to play an expansion of the same title. The thread was entirely directed at people who played the expansion. I don't understand why you'd try to argue that that included you.

Edit: I forgot to mention, when I said MMO games, I meant MMORPGs. I just didn't feel like typing it.

I thought the preview event coulda shown more, but was nice. It seems more like...Battle-like, I liked the 12 v 12, who knew 12 people could get along and win battles. Plus the armor is HOT! =)

Well my guild fielded its 100 members that weekend and cleaned up the Kurzicks quite well. The new game addresses the old issues that made people not like it as much but still leaves the level cap and balance the same. For example

The RP aspect is about 4 times as long as the original GW

The story is more drawn out, and has many warring factions with repeatable quests

The PvP system rewards alliances for wins but does not punish anyone for losses, and allows members who enjoy the PvE to still add to there alliance rating.

You can complete missions without the need for 8 people at the time, it randomly groups you with 7 others

Fast paced, better music, and a graphics update

And also just so you all understand it is NOT an expansion its a stand alone game. Just like city of heros and city of villans were tied together but not the same, you can notown GW and still get factions and play it.
