Smiter gear questions

I posted this in another thread but no reply so I'm starting my own...

In patch 1.11b does Grief still add the bonus to Smite? Lastly, does Smite get the bonus from crushing blow and deadly strike from weapons, helms, and boots? I read on the Summit that % chance to cast x spell off weapons works but it says nothing about crushing blow etc from weapons, helms, etc. If anyone knows, please reply. Thx.

I am not sure about the greif question, there isn't any evidence other than "I did much more damage with it and did much less without it" and vice versa talk.

i use grief on my smiter,and it adds TONS of dmg,trust me

and the cb etc from helms and stuff works too

Cool, now I just need to find some runes for a Grief on hc ladder... :rolleyes

grief just makes smite own, its not so much as ups the damage smite, it simply ignores the targets defense and subtracts from target defense, so technically it does not up the dmg on smite;although i do agree that grief is the best wep for a smiter =)

life/mana steal does work with smite my smiter steals life/mana b/c of my Bks/Vamp Gaze so how do you figure that it doesnt work...

Smite do Not leech life or mana... (only time where Smite leech is when Life Tap is casted... '

No hes correct the only way to "leech" is to cast lifetap from either dracs or your exile.
