Alrighty then... first off I'm going to tell you the benifits of making this build, the stats, the gear, and also some pvp tactics. Like most elite dueling characters, this won't just be a snap of the fingers to get the items necessary to make this guy work propperly, especially for a lot of players like myself. But I tell you, it is worth making.
This is a carzy build, just to tell you. I'm sure a lot of you fellow d2 addicts have made something like this...and for good reason.
Smiters can have very decent life (most of the time 3k+), dammage (4k+), deffense (25k+), and to tie all those together, they have stun w/ max ias.
You will not have to pump dex since smite has ignore target deffense, which means the deffense on those other pesky paladins and those dammed barbs won't help them against this dueling charm.
The stats:
Strengh--This will varry from player to player...some people like to use enimga to save life points and use the str bonus to their advantage. Me personally, I wouldn't. Yes, the str bonus on enigma is very attractive, yet it lacks other necessities that are essential for this build. I will get to a nice alternative armor when I get to the items. So anyways, I would say like 100-130.
Dexterity--If you are going to boost your character's level to 99, I suggest putting around 125 in (with gear) so you can get max block. This will surely be anough to equip your weapon so no worries.
Again, you will not have to pump dex above this since ar has no place here.
Vita--After you're done with the 2 above...feel free to pour it all in here. Life is key to this dueler, as in all other builds.
Energy--I know what you were thinking...none right...well yes, you are.
'Pat on the back' for being somewhat smart.
Skill Allocation:
20 Smite
20 HS (gives you the smite dammage)
20 Fana (this gives you good ias, and dammage)
20 Defiance ( just a synergy for extra deffense)
Rest is your choice. Either put them in charge or you can go half-sies with smite/zeal.
Gear:
The gear you are looking for should posess some fhr, + skills, resists, and dr.
For fhr, you can either hit 86% which is the 4th frame, or you can go the extra mile and go for 200%, the 3rd frame. I recommend aiming for the 4th frame. There would be some gear sacrifices going any farther.
The + skills simply add to your the ones you have, and also boost your BO from your cta (WHICH IS A MUST IN PVP!). More skills more life.
For resists, you need 75+ on all. I'm not even going to back that one up.
DR must be 50% (which is the cap). It's ok if you are 1 or 2 points lower than what you need. But, I strongly enforce that you have all 50 in here.
