I went to this church event cus my parents made me. And well this one guy was talkin about sins. He was namin sum and thenhe said masterbation was a sin. If so then alot of ppl should be in hell right now...

but is it really a sin?

They really did used to think guys had only a certain amount of "seed," which I guess explained men in their older ages. Guys literally make millions of sperm a second, I don't think God really pays attention to that stuff anymore. The Church has BIG issues with anything dealing with the body or physical love.

Seriously, a very small portion of the population believes that masterbation is a sin. They're called "fundamentalists". Stay away from them, they're hella scary. Read some of Tim Lehay's literature if you think I'm kidding..... he's dead serious.

The Catholic Church is referred to as "the Church" because all branches of Christianity originated from Catholicism. These branches, such as Lutherans, Protestants, Calvinists, etc. were formed later on by groups who broke away from the Catholic Church due to conflicts in beliefs (although many groups share very similar beliefs). If you see the movie "Luther," it will help to illustrate what I'm talking about.

Exactly. I avoid them at all costs. Who cares if people masturbate...it's not like it really changes the kind of person you are, and there are worse things you could do, i.e. murder, stealing, etc.
