Make a programming forum in other interests. More interesting then art imo.

I agree. We could cut out a lot of ****ty sections that we have that haven't been used in a year. You could mod it. But SRZLY the entire Artist Outlet is a waste of space. Graphic Design could be merged with Programming. :D

Programming discussion???*
!?>!

Yeah. I'd mostly contribute to PHP and things of that nature...buttt, it sounds fun enough. I mean you're extremely well versed in Javascript last I remember...

I'd be interested in a programming forum. Although, I know only a little bit, I'd be interested in learning more.

That would be a good idea. I can easily provide C++/Java help.

Artist section nobody really uses anymore, since we would just hate about half the **** that pops up there.

The only thing hard about operating it is getting the attention of it to the outside world, since there are forums that specifically deal with programming discussions, from C++ to PHP.

one of two things would happen:

1. wed attract a ton of new members that know programming

2. it would die misserbly because no new members that know programming show up, i can only think of about 5 ppl currently from BF that knowa ny type of any programming

And I can pretty much only think of 5 people on BF that dig with the comics, but my comic section is doing well.

Exactly. As long as you can stretch your resources with the very limited you have and you were extremely dedicated to your section: You can easily make a sucessful section. Its been proven with Music Galore, Anime Haven in the past, and the Comic Section.

Hell, I don't really know much about comics, but I know enough about comic/manga based shows and movies to contribute to Mike's section. The only comic I know well is Hellboy.

I only know 4 people (Hitsua, myself, Pan and X42) that know some kind of idea of programming, be it Object Oriented or internet based.

And now Hitsua is sacked.

I wish I could, but only Donny has the password to get to the area that allows me to do it.

Yeah I forgot about Ace. He made a few C++ threads back then.

But anyways, I will discuss this with Donny when I get the chance. The only thing we need if it happens, is a forum leader.
