Sin skill Q (Venom)

Does Venom need to be active for it to work (instead of another skill being readied and used) or does it work "passively" and just add poison to attacks?

Venom does indeed need to be active, the only drawback is, that it cant be used with other skills like burst of speed. At least that I remember (If I'm wrong please correct me)

Heres my situation: I planning on maxing Cobra Strike (left click) for charge-up and maxing Dragon Claw or Flight (right click) for finishing move. I was hoping that venom would just add to both of these strikes, but what I have to do instead is use Venom in place of Cobra Strike (for example)??? Since I dont want to do this, should I just max (was planning only 1 pt, is that wise?) Claw Mastery instead?

Yes, you are correct about BoS and Venom. Does the attack speed bonus from BoS transfer over synergies? I was planning 1 pt in that too (BoS).

Venom add to other attacks .. You cast it, and then it will work for your attacks for as long as the duration is ... Now a little about Fade, BoS and venom..

BoS and Fade do NOT work at the same time..
Venom and Fade DO work at the same time..
BoS and Venom DO work at the same time..

Doesn't Venom also transform all of your psn damage to the 0.4 second time frame? Specifically 100 psn sc's?

Yes... it does.. So lets say you got 290 dmg psn sc over 8 sec (not sure how much lencth there is on them scs xD) and then the Venom make your 290 psn dmg over 8 sec into 14,5 psn dmg over 0,4 sec... That make Psn dmg Sc very Useless on an assassin using Venom..~

That's what I figured, so 20 life scs or reists scs would likely be the best choice.

Or Charms with max dmg/ar is also good... To boost Pysical dmg and Ar... Depends a little on what you need most of ... Or if you can affort 3/20/20 sc then use them... But seeing that they are kinda very expencive not many can affort them =/
