@ home you moron...
If you've been running into a lot of hackers and bsers, I have some small tips to share. I am also aiming this to new players so they can have fun too.

Before going online, practise fighting against comps on melee (not free for all). It can be frusterating, but it'll pay off.

After playing for about 3 years, I have lost many games to bsers and hackers. Though I got the living crap kicked out of me numerous times, I recorded all the replay of huge defeats. Observe what they do carefully and you can see a pattern. Some of the most distinct are the players that lag, then go turbo fast or somehow know exactly where you are.

I found a very odd pattern at the beginning of every game. One or two players will lag until the timer hits EXACTLY 42 seconds. They resume the game and freaky things happen. If you find any pattern marking certain players, be prepared. You didn't even need a program to detect it.

If you can, immediatly draw the game and count your blessings. If you can disconnect your line and reconnect minutes later, do it. You won't win, but you won't lose either. If anything suspicious happens, get out of the game!

Watch out for which game you join... besides lagging, observe the game name, the names of the players, and the rules.

To reduce the chance of an unglorious losing streak:
-Never play games with clans ([Sgt.gaywad] and [Sgt.gaywadsbitch] vs all)
-Never play 1v1
-Never play 7v1 or 6v2 comps, they aren't easy wins (instead try 4v4comps, 3v5comps)

I like trying my skills against games I know I can't win. It makes you all the tougher; plus so you lose a point on your stats. That's not a biggie to me, but then it might be a biggie for other people, whatever.
Most people should know that the 7v1 type games are the best places to find backstabbers. PLus, everyone has a maphack, so you can't beat that. You just can't find a good game where they don't have maphacks.

No 1v1? Are you serious, thats all that is fun for me. Is there a way to find legit 1v1 players?

-Never play 1v1
lol that's all the fun there is in StarCraft anymore.

And lag at the beginning of the game is your computer connecting on all ports, B.net games use more than one(hence opening 6112-6119). That doesn't always mean a hack.

Being a former backstabber I can tell you what to watch out for.

-Someone who has stacked SCVs going nito your base, most likely they'll try to wipe out your command building quickly so as to cripple you.
-7v1c, 6v2c, or 5v3c games. Those games are Ãœber rigged, and the people playing them deserve to lose for trying to increase their record.
-Stupid people: If someone is drawing with buildings in the minimap; does minimap pings, says WTF, then resumes the minimap pings; yells about the fact that they can't make a Gateway or a Spawning Pool anywhere; talks like a 6 year old; accuses you of "hacking their latency" when the latency is set; or yells at you not to die when you're being attacked and is talking like an idiot is most likely a backstabber trying to have a lot of fun messing with peoples' minds. Also people who say nothing and just tech quickly and mass are people you should watch out for.
-Pople who accuse others of backstabbing are likely to be backstabbers. Also, those who accuse someone of backstabbing with little justification, like "they have a lot of Marines or Battlecruiser" are likely backstabbers trying to get rid of the people who are threats to them.
-Stay away from BGH with a lot of people, like 4v4.
-Don't flame people. it's the internet, but there are real people behind those screen-names, don't continue the trend of "Person + anonymity + audience = flaming jerk" Those people are likely backstabbers, or will backstab you for flaming them. Also, remember that backstabbers are trying to tick you off for fun, it is funny, ;). By swearing at them and insulting their mother, you aren't going to make them cry, go to their room, and never backstab again. Decent people will tend to allow those who treat backstabbers with kind remarks like "Damn, wasn't expecting that, good game." to live, if you care about your record that much.
-Someone who messages you about backstabbing and says you're trying to frame them when they mention it.
-Someone who says you called their mom a yeti or said you'd backstab them when you didn't are likely backstabbers.
-A host who "questions as to where the computer went" when no one can find it (namely, they changed the Computer to Open right before the game started).

Hopefully that will help you avoid unpleasentness while playing with people on StarCraft.

As for hacking, I don't use hacks or anti-hacks, so I can't help you with that at all. If it's a 1v1 and someone attacks you quickly without scouting, they may be backstabbing. Or if they find your expos when you start them without scouting or Comsat Sweeping. If you're unsure, save the replay and look at it in BW Chart, see if someone did something like click your Command Center 5 seconds into the game when it would have been impossible for them to do it while playing legit.

Also never play 2v6c and look like you suck. He will just bs you and take the win. In the old days, I used to run Ally Alert so I know who had Allied Victory off and such.

In games versus computer opponents, watch for players that build armies but never attack. You might see a guy massing Battlecruisers and building needlessly plentiful defenses. Sometimes, you can catch a couple people doing it. If you see them massing stuff like Battlecruisers/Carriers (BCs is a favorite amongst these types), start preparing your Ghosts with Lockdown, your Arbiters with Statis Field, or your Defilers with Dark Swarm for your Hydralisks.

Yeah, you would be amazed how retarded people fall to spells and abilities over brute force. It was like that one game, me and my friend got bsed by battlecruisers. However we had Ghosts and locked them all down. It was difficult to destroy them for my friend considering he massed infantry and I made Gols.
