Ok I'm making my Helm's Deep map. I just tested it out for the first few times. However there are a few problems. The firebats attack is 80 yet in the game its 160. Also, sometimes triggers take a few minutes to run themselves out. Can anyone tell me what the signs are of a corrupt map. Does opening in Starforge at one point cause this? I have been working on this intermitently for 8 months, so I'd hate to see it go to waste. Any ideas?

Wow, 8 months, that's a long time. Always make a copy of your map in case you do something wrong and save it. As long as your map is openable and playable I don't there there are any signs of corruption.

The firebat's damage varies sometimes, so try putting it at 40 and see what happens.

The firebat always does twice the amount of damage you specify for it. I forget the damage type it uses, though, but I think that'll effect how much hurt it does also (depends on what size or armor class of unit is being hit).

As for the map being corrupted, trust me: you'll know when it is corrupted. You just need to learn more about triggers. The reason for the delays in your map probably has something to do with wait blocker actions clogging things up. I can't tell you more though unless I were to actually see your map, but you can read up about it in the staredit help about wait actions and stuff like that. Also be on the lookout for whether your triggers are owned by the right player(s) you intend.

Thanks! By the way... hehe what if I was to send you my map? Could you look it over, cast a critical eye on my triggers? It's simple stuff; it's my first map. Plus, everyone says your the best at triggers. Just once could you?

I'd suggest working past the problem on your own. You learn a lot more that way than if I were to give you the answer, but if you are truely stuck, then you can email it to me and I'll see what I can do. (click sig)

Lol The reason why they do 160 dmg sted of 40 is that they have 2 little flamer thingies in which the flames fly out... like the zealots they use 2 blades so the dmg is twice the dmg you put in =D

Note: Do not make font excessively large. Also, do not spam. (Look at the posts before you). You have been warned.
