ive been playing warcraft3 constantly...ive watched 100 replays of pros...and yet i still lose game after game...i dont know what im doing wrong..and im not just some noob trying to learn how to play, ive been playing for quite some time now, and have spent a lot of time in it...

anyways, what i think i need is specific strategies that i PLAN for specific races that im up against...for example i want to know that if i get into a 1v1 as an ne, and im playing a human, i want to know exactly what i should be making...is there ANYWAY that i could see some strategies that i could master and perfect.
Because, im extremely sick of watching 20 replays, and going in to a game with high spirits, only to get owned.

(sorry for the bad tone, but i am extremely annoyed..*sigh*)

PLEASE comment and help me out here...maybe some replays that could show me the strategy

thanks a lot

edit: also i dont know exactly what units to use to counter other units...A very long time ago, i tried to come up with a counter chart in these forums which listed units for countering other units...if anyone can help me with that, i would appreciate it a lot

I thought you werent a noob? If you arent you should know them? And if you watch over 100 replays, you are a noob trying to learn, IMO just playing lots of games (who cares about losing) = experiences, which will = your improvements in micro and each race games.

Indeed, if you all notice everybody plays in the way top players do. I saw one of the last replays that they get naga for NE as second hero, and everybody I play with does the same. This element of suprise is missing. If someone plays like for example with ghouls and destroyers, you know that you should also play with riflemen and casters. It's the same as a top replay, just the players arent that good. The same is on Northrend, Azeroth also.

You shouldn't just watch replays, it's good to apply what you learn but to pay attention to micro management and many other things, you should know why they do this and that, otherwise it is like N_ said, a noob trying to learn.
You can cover very little with watching replays. I have the same problem that I know to counter and to do many things, to have a good micro but something is missing to lose from too strong players. It is something that neither replays , nor someone better than you can tell you. There are things like to know when the opponent is creeping and is away, when you can creep without being surprised and when to expect the opponent coming and other things which only the best players know. I wish i spent about 40 euro while i was in Germany for 2 hours lesson from someone of clan SK, either Insomnia or FaTc. They know things which you cant know watching replays and that is the way to winning against much stronger opponents.

I have the same problem. I have tried micro and im getting better at it. Micro management plays a huge factor in the game. Once i played at my friends house in a 1v1 game n i spent about 30mins trying to kill my opponent and was unsucsessful. Finally in the end i decided to give my friend (who has great micro management) control of my army and he won the game striaght away.

I play NE and my tactic is harrass with Kotg then attack with 4 huntress. With such little units i can easily micro manage them, but later in the game when they armies become bigger i tend to get unfused and let them attack wotever unit they are attcking

If u have any tips about micro managment please tell

Hes not a noob, hes been here alot longer than you have. Its people like you that have abused the term noob, witch really only means New Body. Since hes both been to this site, and played the game for some time now it safe to consider the possiblity hes not infact a noob, just a slow learner.

K Thx?

I hate replays. I really do. No I hate high level replays. why? Because everyone watches them everyone does them. There abuse? if a high level player knows this lone behold everyone in a short while will know it. It makes me mad because no one is original, no one bothers to learn to counter things on there own. You want a strat, here is one counter what your opponent is getting. scout and build your army based on counters. I hate when ppl say x unit cant beat y unit imbalanced just because a high level player has micro coming out of his ass. if x unit isnt working try z unit which counters y unit instead of just being a sheep and doing everythign a high level player does.

You want replays to watch? save every replay you lose in (not your victorys) and watch every one. Until you know how you could have won, keep watching them.
In those replays you see valuable things, like u need to scout more, u should have done this or that blah. Waht is a pro going to tell u about ur style in one of his replays. nothing.
and when you get to he point you say, i did everyhting I could he just outmicroed me that is when u focus heavily on improving ur micro. replays can be entertaining at high levels, but really can screw things up when u try to mimic everything. There are to many things u can learn from other ppls replays,

Replays have absorbed everybody's mind ,Pan. There arent people I know who do something different from replays. And when you see someone doing 1 thing, you have no choice but to do the same counter as the one used in replays. For example undead gets ghouls, destroyers, you know that footmen are too weak, knights don't help if he gets aboms, you are obliged to get riflemen. I scout and if I see that he's massing fiends, it's not a mistake that it is different from replays, then i also dont have even 1 rifle.
You have to know the best counter of each unit, you should play in a way to counter your opponent. I always wonder what is this, no harasses, no attacking? It is even more annoying because you dont know what he's doing. The best you can learn from replays is, creep but always scout. Top players attack themselves all the time and they know what each one is doing.

that would be incredibly large, but do-able. but i have not come accross a chart.

You should really memorize units aromr and thier attack types along with initial armor and damage to get a feel for the units. You can't print up a chart and expect u to suddenly start winning. u need to learn that not everyhitng which is supposed to be used to counter something actualy does it's job in that.

Truely, pick a strat u see the most taht beats u, post a problem maybe a replay and i would be glad to help you out, but asking for strats against everyrace and everyhting so broad, I can't help you.

Hes asking for help, and replays, and hes calling him self not a noob, bit contradicting, no?

Being longer in BF doesnt mean hes not a noob at Warcraft, a member could've joined here in 2002 and can still be noob in Warcraft,

Wow, Ive played war3 long time and been called noob, I guess I should be bitching for that right?

And I did give him an advice, just keep on playing ladder, losing or winning, doesnt matter, just play it. Playing mass games will end up in your experiences, and will enhance your gameplay and micro.

kthx.

edit

No more slapping plz, Ill be good N_ :scary
