Should people max out

yes i think peopel should max out as soon as possible, but some people dont seem to agree with me wen i play with them, i say lets max out first and they say taht we have a good enough army to kill our enemy, so i get maxed out while my alies are 60-70 on the food chain, and then we dont kill them.

So i am just wondering if anyone else feels the same way i do, that people should max out wen we attack because every single battle i have lost is either that my allies suck or that my allies decide not to max out

I usually keep under high upkeep if all possible. If I have plenty of gold, I'll move into high, but otherwise I try to stay under. Since I creep all the time, I usually have lots of scrimishes and/or attacks on expos before either of us is able to get anywhere near 90.

It's like this, NEVER MAX OUT. If u max out that means you need maybe 4 mines being mined. maybe around 2-3 for low and 1-2 for no upkeep. Because the amount collected is less, and lot's of expansions means you need to defend several postions, i say stay away from high upkeep and it's good to avoid low unless u have expanded.

I always max out, cus i go ghouls and necros - cheap units that u need alot of. But heres a trick for you to kinow whether to max out or not.

If youve got 70 units and cannot take on his army, then get more units and max out. If you can take him (including defences) hit him hard and fast. Whats the point of getting more gold faster if you lose becus you dont have enuf guys?

The bad part of maxing out is that you're still mining at the same speed--so if you're maxed throughout the entire game with 3 mines, you'll lose thousands of gold that you could have spent making more units. When you max, you have nothing to do but creep and upgrade and attack the enemy. Once you attack and you lose your army, you're stuck with minimal money (unless you're playing against someone that let you expand 3-4 times). On the other hand, with low or no upkeep, you continue gaining the money you need to reproduce your army and make them stronger with upgrades. As soon as you lose your army, you make more, no questions asked.

Of course, if you've maxed out and have 3-4 expansions you've probably won the game anyway.

i usually stay under 70 food! but if ive got lots of money, i max out. But if i accidently max out, i usually send all ppl mining gold to go to lumber, that way u wont lose the resources. ( remeber this is when you've got alot of money!

SEE U GUYS WEN U ATTACK AND WEN U ARE WAITING FOR UR ALLIES TO BE RDY U ARE GAINING MONEY SO WEN U ATTACK U WILL HAVE LIKE 1000 GOLD BECAUSE OF WAITING AND ATTACKING FOR SO LONG, ALSO THAT AS SOON AS U ATTACK U WILL MOST LIKELY DROP FROM HIGH TO LOW TO NO UPKEEP, SO THEN U CAN START MAKING MONEY QUICK AGAIN.

You should always go into high upkeep.... trust me on this one. If you are a FFA or solo player, i think you will know what I mean. If you max out on units, even if you micro sucks, you usually over power your opponent by force, rather than complete skill. Try pitting a 70/90 army against a 90/90 army, and you will see the results for yourself. At this point gold doesnt matter, because u probably recked his army. And well, if you lost, right back into no upkeep and 10 gold.
