Selling items on ground?

i heard this is how telekeniss dupe was accomplished. how do you sell items that are on ground, ive tried and my game locks up

The way the telekinis dupe worked was that it bugged the item to make the server think it was in both your inventory and on the ground. It was only visible as being in the characters inventory but it was on the ground as well. Then when you sell the item to an npc using ctrl+left click you could sell the item as many times as you want thus creating a dupe.
