i made a map on scm draft 2 and starcraft will not load it...it crashes everytime. i made the minerals to player 12(nuetral) thats when it crashed. then i set the minerals to player 1 and it crashed again. so it is not a minerals problem but maybe just a scm draft problem. help me out!.

Can you upload the map? You'd have a better chance of getting it answered.. it could be any number of things, really. Maybe the minerals aren't supposed to go to any player in SCM Draft.. try setting them to Null, or whatever is there for no player. You might have accidentally not switched one back. You could have done something at the same time as the minerals which SC doesn't accept. I would try what I said above, but like I stated, it could be any number of things, and the only way to really be able to tell is with the map to look at :)

on normal staredit the minerals are neutral. on scm draft 2 the only neutral is player 12 and i set it to that player and it still crashes. it must be something else cus i can set it to any player and it still crashes. i have the map attached so take a look at it if you can.

Woah, whatever you did is really bad :) I don't have SCM Draft 2, but I'm going to DL it to fix your problem. SC crashes on the map preview and X-tra crashes before it even opens, so I have to get your program to open it. I'll figure it out, I always do :p

I figured it out. You see all that rainbow-like area at the bottom and right side on the minimap? It's messing it up, and is there because you have the map set to 90 x 90. Set it to 96 x 96 and the problem is fixed :)

oh, that makes sense. is there a way to set it to 96x96 from 90x90, or do you have to remake it?.

Yes, you can fix it without remaking the whole map.

Go to "Scenario" at the top.
Click on "Map Description".

You'll see two spots that say "Height" and "Width". Fill in 96 for both values :)

great. thanks. i should of known, scm draft 2 has many features that starcraft doesnt have which makes it hard to use in the first place, then when you get used to it its easy...but still hard to explain to newbies.

The problem with having a custom map dimension(NOT 64, 96, 128, 192, 256) is that it'll crash if that's the first game you play in Starcraft. To have it not crash, just play another map without a standard dimension first.
(Example: Play (2)Challenger, quit the game, then play the map that's 90x90.)

Later:
After I played your map and did what I stated above, your map does work.
To prove that I'm right:

Well, um.. that's not really practical. If you're bleeding to death from your arm, do you want stitches or a band-aid? :p I'm sure he'd rather have his map fixed than leave it broken and have to go through unnecessary effort to play it every time. Not to mention that he'll probably want other people to be able to play it as well without any technicalities :D Also, your mini-map looks a little.. odd. I'm guessing it's easier and more efficient to just to change the two values :)
