How does one go about scanning files? What should a person look for, and if something like a trojan is found, what should one do about it?

ever heard of anti-virus? 
check out the following words: norton :: mcafee
thats the secret.... if someone has a trojan made by hisself and he knows a lil about av no av will detect it i think....
what to do with the file? what about deleting it?
btw. YEAH hacked another acc: gf, perf. arr, more perf stuff and more chars waiting to be cleared.
