Eh....didn't they try something similar to that Earth game back last year? Where you could be a trader, pirate, blah blah blah. Sounded neat, but didn't do so well. Really, that would be such a huge undertaking, it'd take 5 years to get it all worked out, because something like that has never been down before, a MMORTS.

could be a cool concept...i'd play it just cause it's starcraft but i dunno if i'd like it as much as the first one. hmmm maybe something like this will happen? or maybe they could include a single player and multiplayer mode...

Andrew, we were talking about a MMORTS (something in the line of those turn bases online strategy games, I guess). I do hope SC 2 is not going to be a MMORPG or a MMORTS. As much as I hope it hasn't heros.

I think a Total war type thing would be pretty cool. it would make the ideas of "the zergs true power" sorta thing operational. you could have like 100000 zerglings/hydras/mutas and shit running around. and it would incorperate planets and such. just an idea.

not really if you look at rome total, the units aren't very realistic, so if ther were to do that, the units prob be low blocky things

An MMORTS would require 24 hour attention, if you'd want to survive. It's not like you can pause the game when you sleep and shit. It would just be too much of a hassle.

"Thousands of players"? More like hundreds, or not even that much.
