SC in W3?

I think there are starcraft units in Warcraft III in the campains. I found a hydra in the second nightelf mission! Are all the sc units in W3 or something?

lol where have you been, isolated from society ever since warcraft 3 came out? There have always been the 3 sc units in w3.

go and play starcraft vs warcraft altho they don't look like normal starcraft units altho some do its still a good map and fun to play it has every starcraft unit yet the map is about 1.5-18mb so if your a 56kb would take a long time and even the good old starcraft heros

In map editor I think you needed to unlock them, not sure though...
And in the map he talk about its just imitated starcraft units not real

the starcraft units have not always been there*-bring up the units menu and somewhere u should find like a creeps section somewhere or a campaign units thing-therer shoudl be a hydra( which can kill about 2 marines if both are atatcking it) a marine (which can kill about 5 zergling when all are atatcking it) and of course the zergling-even a footman can kill em i think...there is also a chaos space orc which is a grunt with a gun. there should also be a orc juggernaut from wc2 there and a tornado. i made he first 4 missions of sc terran race a bit ago-but my wc3 got uninstalled ill try to recreate them when i get a comp in my room and i will post them at this wc3 maps and mods place. u can find a link to it at the wc3 official sight-look under links somewhere at bottom. N E WAY i hope they put some protoss units there soon-like a zealot or a goon!


* the units were added in a patch after wc3 frozen throne came outor sometime before that. they came with a new patch.

So where are they in the World Editor?

And if u wanted to know, I just got WIII a week ago, so this is why I don't really know about the W3 world...

go to left of screen where u little "toolbar" like thing is and browse around the areas where it says units. if u can, bring up the unit palette located near the top somewhere-forot exactly where the sc units are but u have to get on bnet first-it has to be downloaded with the patch-u might not be able to get it now. im not sure.

SC units are available to be created if you download the add-on for the World Editor.

Can't remember what it is, but it makes two directories in the Warcraft directory and allows additional SC units, as well as stuff like weird boxes and secret spell lists.

only secret spell i remember is that tornado thing. of course, i havent played in a LONG time and i need to install my game and get on bnet and download the stuff...maybe i should never get on bnet and savor my orcs stats and my beastmaster

i got it when i dled it from ths patch-i got on reg then so i kept getting new patches-not sure which patch the spells/units came with. go to battle net and u should have already dled it-jus look in the units area somewhere in the editor.

You can use a new patch after u restore ur original files. Probably u'd want to restore both war3.exe and worldedit.exe. What's ur game version?

actually, i dont think i have-its been about a year since i last played wc3 or even messed with the editor. i played it at my friends house who has it but it lagged WITHOUT being on bnet-it took a footman at least 5 minutes to get outside the base...it took like 3 hours to do a mission it was slow slow-his comp sucks anyway-all he CAn play is D2 and SCBW.
