Rush or No Rush

Personally I think no rushing is for noobs. Not that its wrong for noobs to play no rush games, I mean I know its easier so noobs should play them....for a while. Rush games take more skill and building speed so I like them more. People who play nothing but nr games after they've played sc for years are pathetic.

I somewhat agree. In order to be a good player, you have to be able to survive rushes. In my opinion, rushes teach you to build really fast. NR games teach you more of strategy. With nr games, you learn more about using which units with which, so it's all good there too.

Either way, if a player only plays rushes or only plays nr games, it won't make them better.

No rushing is fine for practicing macro or something, but it's unrealistic and will get you plenty of losses in real games. It still makes me laugh when I join a 2v2 Bloodbath game and someone says "NR 20".

I dont rush. I only protect against 6-pool ling rushes. Only rush if you know how to.

Yea. M&M Rushes against Zerg can work. As long as they dont sunken up too quick. And marine speed can hurt Protoss alot. Zeals are slow in early game.

Yes I suppose this is all true. The funny thing is, they give Zerg the fastest rush, then take it away by making them the weakest beginning units (until later game when the zerglings can be killer).
Then, since the maps are big enough, that by the time the zerglings reach the enemy (after finding them), the enemy has already got has men up. So ya, I guess I really don't think a zergling rush is one of the greatest...

They are weaker. But look at all the other advantages.

- 2 Lings to one egg

- Cheap

- Can build around 30 hydralisks in 30 seconds, or 60lings in even less time.

Weak, but their numbers are high.

Rush isnt all that bad and nor is no-rush... i personally like the nr games better but i can still survive in the rush ones... so i would have to say that a player can be as good as he/she is trained to be... so i guess the games are all about your personal playin style

I hate NR X games. It's slow and the map max's faster. 99% of the time they are money maps.

I prefer 'no rules' games. 1v1 or 2v2. on non-money. It's harder and you have to think, not just let your brain melt.

i have personaly stoped playing all money maps exept micro jail intence for fun, but nr is crappy it takes to long and makes it so both teams have almost equal forces witch makes for a realy boring game. so no rulz for life!

I dislike nr games.........you just mass and mass then everyone rushes ........... bah.
I love rush games especially when your playing the hunters map playing against Asians, damn those guys can rush.

I dont mind rushing if its with different kinds of units and not just the first unit you build, if its with just a few zerglings or lots then its noob to me.

I really dont care that much for money maps at all due to the fact that people master them, build 40 hives, max out on mutas, kill the unsuspecting enemy, and call themselves good. Whereas in a normal map, its basically all up for grabs. I really dont care weather its nr or rush, I jst play and win!
