I'm not going to join a channel so I can observe the number 1 guy on ladder... If he were to play some one I'd check it out.

What's the point in perching in a chat to go al ga-ga over someone who plays on a computer all day? I guess some could see that as a role model but really..Anyone can be just as good if they put as much effort into it. The only thing you'll realize by talking to someone like Showtime or w/e is most likely that there are people who play games for fun and those who devote their lives to it taking it way too serious.

OH wow, number 1 on ladder. He's not a celebrity.
Dude got rich playing war3. He is a pro, and you can make anywhere from $5,000 to $100,000 for winning a war3 tourny in korea which is where all the progamers are at.

He is rich and in Korea he is a celeb

Example: [ReD]Nada - #1 Starcraft player in the world, has made more then $600,000 off of Starcraft and Starcraft: Brood Wars tournaments and leagues.

And anyways, Serial Thriller's post was basically spam. No one cares if you want to see him or not, it was simply an opportunity.

Here you go..

No Spaming / Trolling
We do not tolorate spam at all. This includes trying to sell illegal copyrighted goods via the forum and/or posting comments which will intimidate, promote or generate hatred or flames among members. Users who spam wll not only be banned, but will also be reported to their ISP.
I'd love to know when you got the power to be able to dictate whether or not my posts are spam..Seeing as how mine wasn't. Mine simply stated my opinions on the topic of 'meeting Showtime.' The only category of spam that could fall into is generation hate which if you took my post as to be that then clearly you despise opinions. If so then I ask a few questions..Are you a close minded person or are you simply incredibly biased on matters? Find me a moderator that says my opinion on the topic at hand is spam and I'll happily cease my opinionated attitude toward topics.

Basically what i was saying is I figure if you're serious about going pro or broadening your skills in WC3 then it'd be great to be able to chat with a pro (Even though if it's a public opportunity then you probably won't get NEAR as much attention as you'd hoped.) I think it's great that they make alot or money and can get wealthy by playing a game. I simply just couldn't do it if I were to dedicate my life to it (Which some seem to be doing) I'd feel as if i really served no purpose at all.
