This game is considered by many to be the masterpiece of the Genesis console, and it was released late in the console's run. If you get Sonic Mega Collection Plus for PS2, it's one of the unlockable games. I have to say it's definitely not an easy game, the physics alone take some practice to get down, but that's only because they're more advanced and complicated than normal game dynamics. If you're an experienced gamer looking for an interesting game that can present a challenge, I recommend this title.

I'll be damned if the game wasn't fun though. And it certainly does present more of a challenge than the Sonic or Vectorman series. Although I doubt it can beat that old Armadillo Knight game in terms of difficulty.

The game is about a shooting star named Ristar who has the ability to stretch his arms.

That game was called Ragnar. Old game too.

Ristar is, as Azrael said, a game about a star who stretches his arms, which he uses to grapple things and draw himself in.
