As of 4:20AM on April 12, 2007, I have closed my World of Warcraft account until further notice. Rather spur of the moment decision, I admit, but it was something that had to be done, the choice was no longer mine.

I always wanted an MMO to feel like a game that I could put down if I had other things to focus my time on, and beings everyone told me that WoW was a game that wasn't nearly the timesink that EQ2 or FFXI was, they were wrong. I was drawn to spend every minute I could playing just as I did those other games. It's almost embarrassing for me to say that I neglected my responsibilities in life because I'd rather be lost in the trance that these games give us, but I need a break to recollect myself.

Everyone who joked on me saying I was "Casual", I feel sorry for you, simply because I spent nearly 45-50 hours a week just on WoW alone, and that is WAAAAAAAY too much time to be doing anything that isn't paying me to do it.

Until I can learn how to manage my time better, and not feel less of a player for it, I'm stepping down. I don't suppose it matters anyway, because I was just another "scrub".

Good luck taking out BT in the next patch.

You spent 40-50 hours a week and you still sucked that bad? Good lord.

Welcome to the club. The only differences between you and I is that I sucked more, I quit and went to a different game, and I still have no job.
