Ribcracker mastery

I found a ribcracker staff on ladder with my barb and i noticed that it did a LOT of damage. and i was thinking of upgrading it to a stalagmite or whatever the elite version is because it would do a lot of damage. but first does anyone know if there is a staff mastery?

Actually mace mastery affects staffs so go go Ribcracker barb.

Staff when used ass a melee attack is considered mace... This is true! Do some tests before you just guess.

Wow. Did an open test and mace mastery does work on staves. *shrug* Sorry about the mix-up. I was going on the fact that daggers don't work with sword mastry. Guess you can't tell what works with what just by weapon class, you have to test it on a case by case basis.

Why would it be retarded to build a barb with a weapon that has:

50% Crushing blow
100% Enhanced Defence (Concentrate anyone?)
+200-300 ED (You know it´s possible to upgrade weapons, right?)

Mace mastery has affected staves as long as I can remember and I have played pretty much since day one.

Range 2, that's why it's a bad idea with WW.

And there used to be a bug like that, however, it was removed in 1.08.
