-Fun factor: This game isnt your average platformer like Mario, its fun for it introduces new characters into the genre!
Everyone should buy this game!
"Wow" you sound like a fanboy. I played this game, too. The control annoyed me. The graphics reminded me of a poorly rendered 16-bit game. The sound fit that... The fun was drained by a poor storyline and awful, well, most everything else. You didn't go into any detail, at
all or point out any bad points, and that
really discredits you.
I also pointed out a few flaws of a negative review that is short and doesn't point out the good points of the game. What I said sounds somewhat fanboyish, but, then again, I didn't find anything to say positive for the game. I guess I could say that... Nope, the forward "3D" scrolling was no good. Hmm? Maybe... No, sorry, I can't think of anything nice I could say, but I decided a negative was needed as a counter to that rather...bad post and review.
I'll add something constructive now...

Lost Kingdoms
-Control
I'll start with my only two gripes with the contols for this game. First off, the analog stick feels a little clunky in this game, and it's best to always try to be moving "forward". Second, the cameral control is awkward with only four positions. It's difficult to move, but it actually fits quite well.
On the plus side, the button assignments for magic (cards) is quite well played. This is where the game really shines, and you won't find yourself in want of more card control. The use of L, R, and Z work well with A, B, X, and Y -- giving you even more control over your cards.
-Graphics
Now, a little dated. They don't take full advantage of the GC's impressive IBM Gecko Processor, but it looks it's part as release fodder. The monsters are believable, the spell effects fit, and the traps spring to life on cue. There
is slowdown when you come across a boss battle and are forced to summon multiple cards to the field at once, including several summons. It is fun to watch four black dragons on the field at once, however.
-Sound
It works, but that's about it. It definetly feels like a "first" game in a series, and it can be improved upon. However, you really get the feeling that things are working properlly. Traps, such as manicore, sound effective coming out of the ground and, in manicores case, screetching to throw out an enemy's ear drums.
-Fun Factor
This game is not for everyone, but there is definetly an audience for it. I find it interesting to try to come up with a variety of deck strategies entering a level. One of my favorites is to build a deck that would kill you if not for healing cards, such as Water Bird or Blue Dragon, healing you. As with most games, I recommend rental, first.
